Where giordanos Pizza Was Born
In 1974, Efren and Joseph Giordano opened the very first giordano's restaurant on the South Side of Chicago, inspired by their mother's Easter pie recipe from Torino, Italy. What started as a humble neighborhood pizzeria quickly became the benchmark for what a true Chicago-style stuffed deep dish pizza should taste like.
The brothers' secret was simple: use the finest locally sourced ingredients, never rush the process, and always cook with heart. Their signature double-crust stuffed pizza — loaded with vine-ripened tomatoes, hand-pulled mozzarella, and premium toppings — set a standard that has never been compromised in over five decades.
